McDonald’s Australia has the goal of 30 new franchisees in the next 12 months. That’s one of the messages that came out of the Franchising and Business Opportunities Expo in Melbourne.

In this video, Franchising editor Sarah Stowe speaks with Lilian Tartgalia, national operations (ROIP) and franchising manager at McDonald’s Australia.

Tartgalia explains how the global fast food chain was in Melbourne on a myth-busting mission and is looking for flexible prospective franchisees who want to be hands-on in their business.

Approximately 75 percent of McDonald’s restaurant businesses in Australia are owned and operated by franchisees right now, with plans to increase this to 80 percent in the near future.
