LCF Fun Languages

Research has shown that learning a second language at an early age enhances children’s overall mental development. Along with increased language skills, higher self-esteem and better-developed thinking and reasoning skills, they tend have a better understanding of our multicultural world.

LCF Fun Languages ensures that their first exposure to another language is enjoyable and free from stress. As children play games, sing songs, role play and interact with each other, they absorb the new language without being aware that they’re learning.

Nickie Race-Jones was a franchisee in New Zealand before launching LCF Fun Languages in Australia two years ago with her business partner, Gisela Purcell. They now have 24 franchisees in three states.

“There’s a huge demand from parents who are desperate to expose their kids to another language,” she says. “We quickly established franchisees in key areas and we have been growing fast ever since.”

LCF Fun Languages specialises in teaching French, Spanish, German, Italian and Chinese to children between the ages of two and 12. An initial investment of $10,000 provides a franchisee with detailed lesson plans, complete teaching materials and ongoing business training and marketing support.

“We take a holistic approach to our training,” Race-Jones continues. “The LCF brand is all about the diverse and talented team we are creating. It is our job to keep franchisees inspired and motivated.”

Race-Jones knows from her own experience that an LCF Fun Languages franchise is perfect for anyone who wants to develop and grow a profitable business which fits around their own family’s needs.

Franchisees don’t have to be qualified language teachers – some are fluent in another language, some simply employ native speakers to take the classes. What they all have in common is a love of sharing early language learning with children and seeing benefits that are not always expected.

“One child in a French group was dyslexic and, as a result, lacked self confidence,” says Race-Jones. “Because the LCF methodology focuses on listening and repeating, her confidence grew enormously and she was no longer held back by her dyslexia. Her mother said she became like a different child, full of confidence and enthusiasm. LCF had a huge impact on her and her whole family!”
