Twenty five of Jim’s Mowing franchisees from across Victoria converged at Avalon airport on their ride-on mowers, ready to help create the world’s biggest grass-mown moustache to help promote the men’s health initiative, Movember.

The grand-scale event on 17 November was the culmination of an idea by Jim’s Mowing divisional manager Greg Puzzolo who wanted to lift the bar as far as PR for Movember goes.

Puzzolo got the ball rolling by enlisting the help of Kent Boorman from Movember, Andrew Kelly from FC Business Solutions (Jim’s Group PR company), and Jim McClusky, CEO of Avalon Airport.

With just days to go, Nep Thach from Jim’s Group IT office translated the Movember moustache graphic into a workable template and Puzzolo, along with fellow Jim’s Mowers Mike Davenport and Mark Richmond – armed with some string line and a tape-measure  – staked out and marked-up the site ready for mowing.

On the morning, the 25 dedicated Jim’s Mowing franchisees and franchisors converged on the site.

The resulting world’s biggest grass moustache scored media coverage from Channel 10 and Channel 7.
