National courier franchise Fastway Couriers has partnered with Mayo Hardware to launch the new Pakman Parcel Delivery Box.

The delivery box is the first of its kind in Australia, and it allows couriers to deliver parcels to a customer’s residential address at any time of the day, even when they are not at home.

It is equipped with My-Locate technology, which is used to notify customers that they have received a parcel via SMS or email.

The CEO of Fastway Couriers, Richard Thame expects the new delivery box will transform both the parcel delivery process and the courier industry.

“As a company with a customer first philosophy, the Pakman Parcel Delivery Box is an innovation we’re excited to support,” he said.

“The new delivery system has been developed to allow customers to receive parcels to their own safe and secure personal delivery box, even when they’re not at home. The parcel box allows us to deliver customers parcels first time, every time.”

The delivery box is large enough to fit a case of wine or a standard A3 parcel, and it is available in three colours – white, charcoal and sand.

To access the delivery box, franchisees simply use their scanners to scan the barcode affixed to it, which confirms the address and opens the door.

For added security, delivery box owners are able to easily change their combination lock code online.

Thame said customers and couriers will reap major benefits from the delivery box’s ability to inform customers when they have received a delivery.

In particular, it will remove the need for multiple delivery attempts as couriers can deliver the parcel to the delivery box when the customer isn’t at home.

“With Christmas just around the corner and online shopping becoming increasingly popular, the parcel box could not have come at a better time.

“We’re really looking forward to the influence the Pakman Parcel Delivery Box is going to have on our ability to delight the customer at the door and deliver every parcel on the first attempt. It’s an exciting prospect for the entire team,” he added.

The Pakman Parcel Delivery Box will be sold nationwide through Bunnings Warehouse from December.
