EzyDVD saved by Franchise Entertainment Group

EzyDVD, the DVD rental chain which collapsed last month, has been snapped up by Franchise Entertainment Group (FEG), the business which runs Blockbuster and VideoEzy.

The move saves all but 15 unprofitable outlets, which have already been closed by corporate recovery specialist, Ferrier Hodgson;  the Adelaide head office is set for closure within three months.

FEG takes on the brand name, franchise network, online business, stock, plant and equipment and the company-owned stores.
