Eagle Boys franchisee Cheryl Steinhardt and her husband run two Eagle Boys stores and a farm, yet she still finds the time to deliver quality training to her staff.

A number of the staff members at Cheryl’s Plainland and Fernvale stores are young females, and she places a high level of importance on ensuring they are equipped with the skills required to succeed in life.

“As our stores’ employees are made up of a substantial number of females, I feel it is my responsibility to equip all of them with skills including leadership, confidence and to be business minded individuals.

“Their experience with me at Eagle Boys will have a huge impact on their future. It’s very important that we nurture and care for them,” she said.

Cheryl is actively involved in her local community, too.

“Through Eagle Boys, we help support local football clubs and various schools. Even before Eagle Boys I was a chairman on church boards and other community organisations,” she said.

She encourages anyone who is interested in eventually owning their own business to get involved in different causes, as they can present various opportunities for growth, both on a personal and professional level.

“Get involved in all sorts of committees, even if you feel as though you are giving your time for free and it doesn’t at the time seem relevant. Years later you’ll be completing a task at work and will be grateful to retrieve those skills,” she added.
