Domino’s to launch new pizza sliders

Domino’s will launch its pizza sliders product in Australia on 18 February, a move that follows on from it’s immense success in India.

The company has clearly tapped in on the tapas trend, with each product containing four hand-held, individually sized pizzas that are similar in size to a cheeseburger.

Don Meij, CEO, Domino’s believes the sliders will be quite successful in Australia.

“Just as Sliders became their own sub-category of burgers, we feel confident that the same level of success will be enjoyed with Domino’s Pizza Sliders,” he said.

The product will contain the company’s four most popular pizza flavours, supreme, meatlovers, pepperoni and Hawaiian.

“We have specifically served up the top four favourite choices on our menu. These pizzas have been our best performing products for years and they really are synonymous with our brand – when people think of pizza, they tend to think of these four selections,” said Meji.

Meij said Domino’s has been working on perfecting the sliders for some time, and each is made fresh daily using the company’s signature dough.

Customers can expect to find “premium, quality ingredients such as smoked leg ham, 100 per cent Aussie grilled beef, sweeter juicier pineapple and our classic pepperoni,” he added.

Meij said the new product has been developed in response to what it is that the average consumer wants and needs.

“We take many things into account when we are developing new products and this meets exactly what consumers are looking for – convenience, choice, quality, value and taste,” he said.

The sliders will be available in stores before 4pm each day.
