Coffee franchise customers dig deep for charity

Customers of The Coffee Club have raised more than $45,000 for the Red Cross Victorian Bushfire Appeal. The Coffee Club public relations director John Lazarou said the most recent tally of the franchise group’s bushfire appeal funds indicated that just over $45,000 had been raised by about 80 of The Coffee Club’s Australian stores. The Coffee Club has more than 220 stores throughout Australia, another 26 in New Zealand and Thailand.

“We still have just under two thirds of our stores left to register their fundraising totals, but the effort so far has been excellent,” Lazarou said. “I hope the financial support helps to make the recovery journey a little easier for families and the massive task of rebuilding whole communities and neighbourhoods less stressful.”

Every year The Coffee Club donates hundreds of thousands of dollars to the community through the organisation’s various charity appeals including the ‘Changing Children’s Lives’ initiative. In the past 12 months The Coffee Club has raised almost $300,000, including the $45,000 for the Victorian Bushfire Appeal, for various charities.
