CEO of Helloworld resigns

Helloworld CEO Elizabeth Gaines has resigned after 15 months in the travel franchise’s top job.

Gaines joined the company in 2008, was appointed to CFO to CEO in April 2014 following the depature of former boss Rob Gurney, who resigned after 18 months at Helloworld.

The travel franchise said the board will now begin a search process to replace Gaines to “lead Helloworld through th next phase of growth”.

Gaines will continue her role as CEO during the term of the six month notice period.

Helloworld, formerly Jetset Travelworld. undertook an extensive rebrand in November 2013, as a replacement of Harvey World Travel, Travelscene, Jetset and Travelworld as part of its plan to simplify its network of travel agent franchises.
