Carpet Courts adds non-exec director to board

Retail franchise Carpet Court has appointed is first non-executive board member, Marcia Griffin.

Griffin’s business achievements include being named the first Telstra Victorian Business Woman of the Year in 1995 and the first Australian female Chair of TEC (The Executive Connection).

Carpet Court Chairman Gerald Loughran said “With over 30 years’ experience as a business owner, director and CEO across a number of industries, and with notable board positions including PMP Limited, Holt Private Capital, National Pharmacies, The World Masters Games and Tourism Victoria, Marcia adds significant sales, investment and financial expertise to the Carpet Court Board.

“Throughout her extensive career, Marcia has demonstrated a sound track record of successfully achieving results and driving change across highly competitive markets. Marcia is well regarded for her ability to motivate and inspire others, and we look forward to working with Marcia to successfully execute Carpet Court’s long-term business strategy,” Loughran added.

Griffin, who joins the team of seven executive directors at Carpet Court, said “As Australia’s largest retail flooring specialist with over 200 stores, Carpet Court prides itself on its customer focus and supporting its franchisees to achieve their business goals.
