Car service franchise Bridgestone supported the Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave initiative by hosting a shave event at Bridgestone Select Norwood, South Australia, in March. Those who were brave enough to shave, including franchisee Kerry Collins, were cheered on by a very special guest — V8 Supercar driver Garth Tander.

“It was a terrific event and we were really pleased to have Garth Tander attend as a special guest,” Collins said. “He was certainly an important draw-card to help us raise funds for a very worthy cause.”

Joanne Denley, Bridgestone Australia’s director of human resources, said “The World’s Greatest Shave is the biggest fundraising event on the Leukaemia Foundation’s calendar. Many of our franchisees across the country will be hosting similar shave events and we are proud to be supporting the Foundation’s efforts to raise $15 million.”

Bridgestone has been a supporter of the Leukaemia Foundation for more than 25 years.

“The Leukaemia Foundation is a terrific organisation which provides invaluable support to Australian families living with leukaemias, lymphomas and other blood disorders,” Denley said. “To support the Leukaemia Foundation’s work in the community, Bridgestone provides patient transport service vehicles across Australia.”
