Bricks 4 Kidz has been operating globally for more than 15 years and has been established in Australia for more than a decade.
The brand has built a strong reputation in the STEM education and children’s enrichment industry through school programs, holiday workshops, birthday parties, robotics classes, and vacation care incursions, says Australian master franchisee Sue Pamboris, who answers the Franchise Business Q&A.
What does it cost to buy a franchise?
Our franchise investment starts from approximately $20,000+GST for a centre-based franchise opportunity, with mobile franchise options also available. This includes initial onboarding, operational systems, business onboarding support, and access to our established curriculum and resources.
What are the core areas of your company’s business?
Bricks 4 Kidz delivers hands-on STEM and creative learning experiences for children using Lego bricks. Our programs include after-school classes, school incursions, robotics and coding workshops, birthday parties, holiday programs, and corporate family events.
Who is a typical customer?
Our primary customers are families with children aged 5–11, schools, vacation care providers, local councils, libraries, shopping centres, and corporate organisations running family-friendly events. As demand for hands-on STEM education and screen-free activities continues to grow, we are also expanding further into corporate workplace programs, community events, shopping centre activations, and large-scale partnerships to reach an even broader audience.
What makes your brand stand out from the competition?
Bricks 4 Kidz combines globally recognised Lego-based learning with a highly diversified business model. Franchisees can generate income through multiple revenue streams including schools, OOSH/vacation care, birthday parties, retail-style workshops, and corporate activations, creating strong scalability and flexibility.
Why is this a good business for a franchisee to buy into?
This is a rewarding and scalable business with strong community engagement and multiple income channels. Franchisees benefit from an established international brand, proven systems, ready-to-use curriculum, and growing demand for STEM education and screen-free children’s activities.
Which element of franchisee support is the most well received?
Our ongoing operational and marketing support is highly valued because franchisees are never left to figure things out on their own. We provide onboarding, training, marketing resources, coaching, shared systems, and continuous business development support tailored to the Australian market.
How many hours a week does a franchisee typically work?
This varies depending on whether the franchisee operates the business part-time or full-time. Many franchisees start flexibly around school hours before scaling into a larger operation with staff and multiple revenue streams.
What drives your growth strategy?
Our growth strategy focuses on sustainable and measured expansion while building strong local franchisee success. We prioritise territory quality, operational support, and long-term business growth over rapid expansion.
What are your expansion plans for the next five years?
We plan to continue expanding nationally across Australia, increasing our presence in metropolitan and regional areas while growing our school partnerships, corporate programs, and STEM education offerings.
Please share one exciting development you have planned
We are introducing more large-scale corporate and community activations. Bricks 4 Kidz is also investing in improved systems and technology to help franchisees streamline operations and scale their businesses more effectively.
