VIP Home Services was founded in 1979 and is still going strong, says founder Bill Vis.

V.I.P. Home Services was the first company to start gardening franchising in 1979. In fact, VIP were only the 3rd company in Australia to utilise the Franchise system that is now so commonly seen in Australia.   V.I.P have grown to more than 1100 franchisees across Australia and New Zealand in VIP Home Cleaning, VIP Commercial Cleaning, Carpet Cleaning, Window Cleaning, VIP Lawns and Garden Maintenance & VIP Fencing.

For more than 40 year , V.I.P. has been a trusted name in the  home and commercial cleaning arena as well as in Lawn &  garden maintenance and  carpet cleaning.

VIP are a proud family business and today, V.I.P. is still headed up by its founder, Bill Vis, and three of his kids have joined the company and co-founder Rose Vis, is still very involved with the business, so you can see it is one big happy family at VIP . Many of the staff at V.I.P. have been with the company for longer than  10 years and there are  few of the franchisees that have been with VIP for more than 20 years which is a testament to their quality of service and how well they look after Franchisees.

Bill Vis founder and Chairman in an interview at the Franchise Expo said:

We brought our operations back to lawn mowing and gardening maintenance,  home cleaning and commercial cleaning with the car cleaning back to the commercial cleaning and the home cleaning franchise  simply because we found that the car cleaning was to up and down in winter seasons

Car cleaning didn’t give a regular income and the same applied to window cleaning so we decided to bring that back into our commercial cleaning franchises and our home cleaners  simply to  even out that income stream because we’re about providing a regular income for our franchisees

We like doing what we call repeat services rather than an area-based franchise system  because it makes it easier for franchises to budget and work out what their  income they need to make to survive and be profitable.

Our Franchisees usually  keep very busy with their franchise of choice for example lawn mowing.  However they don’t have to  stick to the division that  they bought if they want to do cleaning or carpet cleaning as well  providing they have done the courses as we want them to do to be competent at these areas.
