What kind of training and support is available?

At Kumon, we focus on creating a supportive community for our franchisees. Before opening their centres, franchisees go through thorough training, and after opening, they receive personalized and ongoing support.

This includes:

  • New Franchisee Training: A 10-day, interactive training held online over three weeks. It covers daily tasks of a Kumon franchisee and includes some self-study. You’ll also get business and operations guidance to help set up your centre.
  • First-Year Support: After opening, franchisees get regular follow-up training every three months during their first year to reinforce what was learned in the initial training.
  • Assigned Consultant: Each franchisee is paired with a consultant who offers personalized advice to help grow their business. These consultants are based locally and provide support tailored to each centre’s needs.
  • Professional Development and Networking: Franchisees can join monthly seminars, conferences, mentoring programs, and study groups to keep learning and improving, while also connecting with other franchisees.

Tailored Personalised Support

We understand that the first few months after opening can be challenging, so we provide a lot of help. This includes follow-up training sessions one month after opening and every three months for the first year. These sessions help reinforce what you learned during your initial training, making sure you can deliver a great learning experience for your students.

Assigned Consultant to Help Grow Your Business

Each franchisee is given a consultant to offer personalized support and advice on how to improve and grow their business. These consultants are experienced and work from local offices. They are the main contact for any questions or concerns and provide guidance based on the specific needs of each franchisee and their centre.
