BIG4 Holiday Parks has added the Castlemaine Gardens Holiday Park to its franchise group. BIG4 Holiday Park CEO, Terry Goodall, said “We are extremely pleased to have Castlemaine on board. There is so much for park stayers to do, from riding the historic railway, to exploring the nearby towns of Daylesford and Maldon.

Franchisees Tony and Claire Height, previously motel owners, bought the park because they saw a need for family, self contained accommodation. “ItÍs a very different business to a motel as people have their doors and tents wide open for a chat and a drink — a great, friendly atmosphere where we meet interesting people all the time,” Claire said.

The accommodation at BIG4 Castlemaine Gardens Holiday Park ranges from Gold air-conditioned cabins to budget cabins, as well as powered sites, most of them overlooking the dry creek bed into the Botanic Gardens.

“Our focus is on customer service and cleanliness. Our cabins are very comfortable with good mattresses and linen. Because we have such a spacious park we are easily able to accommodate large caravan clubs and groups.”
