Anytime Fitness has launched its first ever community outdoor training initiative Anytime Fit Club to help raise funds for non-profit organisation The Hunger Project Australia.

Anytime Fit Club is an outdoor training solution for local communities wanting to live a healthier, happier and more fulfilling life, while helping The Hunger Project Australia eradicate world hunger and poverty through empowerment and education.

Brand ambassador Shannan Ponton is again lending his support to the charity, having previously helped raise funds with Anytime Fitness co-founder Jacinta McDonell, by creating fitness programs especially for Anytime Fit Club.

The initiative will take place in Sydney at Queens Park, Bondi Junction and Granville Park, Merrylands every Saturday at 8:30am starting March 21, then will roll out nationally over the coming months to continue raising money. Participants will provide a gold coin donation to partake in the group training sessions, with all proceeds going directly to The Hunger Project Australia.

Sandi Reay, who started Anytime Fit Club, hopes to fundraise $20,000 for The Hunger Project Australia by this April. Sandi will be joining Jacinta on a mission to Malawi in April to see first-hand what the funds achieve.

Reay said “It is an enormous honuor to be part of such an incredible program and I’ve committed to raising $20,000 as my contribution towards helping communities become self-sufficient and proud of their achievements. I’m looking forward to this journey and hope you will support me generously!”

Anytime Fitness’s company ethos is based on changing lives. Last year Jacinta raised $100,000 for the charity before travelling to Africa, where she was inspired to continue supporting the cause. The Hunger Project Australia empowers people to end their own hunger by tipping the aid model on its head, unlocking the vision, commitment and leadership of the hungry by training them in the skills and confidence to feed themselves and their families.
