In a move to further emphasise the nutritional aspects of its menu, Australia’s largest kebab franchise Ali Baba has added a dietitian and exercise physiologist to its team.

The partnership between Ali Baba and Joanne Turner supports the wider brand strategy and aims to ensure all food products are nutritionally balanced.

Dominic Cain, national operations manager at Ali Baba, said “Joanne Turner is one of the country’s top nutrition experts, so clearly we are delighted to have her on board.”

Turner will assist Ali Baba with product development, as well as reviewing the current menu.

“Ali Baba and I have been talking for some time now, and it’s exciting to implement some of our ideas,” said Turner.

“As the brand owns the entire paddock-to-plate process and has remained committed to serving top quality produce, Ali Baba already has a huge advantage. I am looking forward to unlocking the brands full potential from a nutritional perspective,” she said.

Cain added “Like any good food franchise should, we are continually looking at ways to improve our recipes. Joanne has been working with us on some exciting new menu items which we’re looking forward to introducing later this month”.

Earlier in the year the brand launched a sodium reduction policy and has already lowered salt content by over 25 percent.
