Administrative support the name of the game at Appliance Tagging Services

Appliance Tagging Services (ATS) franchisors Ainslie and Sarah Allen know how difficult it can be to run a small business, and they subsequently provide their franchisees with a wealth of administrative support.

Ainslie said the service aims to alleviate the pressure on franchisees so they can focus on their core business rather than other, often time consuming administrative tasks.

“We know how difficult it can be managing conflicting priorities when you are a sole operator. On the one hand, you can get so bogged down with invoicing and admin that your business and customer service can start to suffer.

“On the other, as your customer service comes first, invoicing and debt collection gets overlooked and cash flow screams to a halt,” he said.

ATS has a team of operational and administrative staff on hand to ensure the smooth running of each franchisee’s business.

They are responsible for handling all aspects of administration, including:

  • Data processing
  • Test report production
  • Invoicing – including recipient created tax invoices
  • Debt collection
  • Client liaison – including dealing with and relaying customer feedback
  • Scheduling testing services

The company’s sales team direct local leads to relevant franchisees, and they also focus their attention on sourcing large scale jobs.

Canberra based ATS franchisees Megan and Ken Black said the administration service was one of the major reasons they chose the brand.

“Being new to business we were looking for the support of a franchise system. With the professional team at ATS head office managing client reporting and billing, as well as national tendering for the franchise network, we can focus on providing the very best face-to-face experience in our community.”

Chetan Khemlani, ATS franchisee in the Sydney area is similarly fond of the administrative support the brand offers.

“I believe that the support provided by the franchisor is imperative to a franchisee’s success particularly in growing their own customer base.

“As ATS is an evolving network, the central support provided by the franchisor is customised to each Franchisee’s needs and based on their feedback.  This has certainly helped me by allowing me to dedicate my time to finding new customers and to providing the best possible service to my existing customers.” he said.

Nathan Brown, one of ATS’ longest serving franchisees and former chairman of its Franchise Advisory Council, believes his business would not be as successful as it is today without the support of ATS.

“Apart from taking away the headaches of chasing payments in what is currently a particularly challenging financial climate, this service ensures a steady cash flow for my business and peace of mind for my family.”

ATS is currently recruiting franchisees across all Australian states and territories.

Potential franchisees can secure their own ATS business for a total investment of $47,000 + GST, and they must also have a suitable vehicle.

The initial franchise term is five years and there is an option to renew for another five years after that.
