In keeping in line with its goal of opening 10 new stores this year, Zarraffa’s Coffee has opened a new drive-thru outlet in the Brisbane suburb of Cleveland.

The new store is headed up by the coffee chain’s long term franchisees Rosie Hicks and her son Robbie, who relocated their Albert Street franchise to the new site.

“Starting fresh in such a fantastic location will give us the chance to take what we have learned over the decade at the Albert St store,” said Mr Hicks.

“We really enjoyed our time in the city and had some great customers and we look forward to making coffee for many more as part of our new community in Cleveland.”

According to Zarraffa’s executive director, James Barritt, new stores are expected to open in both Brisbane and regional areas including Cairns, Dalby and Townsville this year.

“Cleveland will be the first of a number of Queensland locations, with a great mix of existing franchisees reinvesting in the brand along with a new set of franchisees ready to join the fray.

“With the opening of our first store in Townsville late last year there is a clear interest in our products and drive thru convenience by customers and we expect to replicate this as we move further west and north in the state,” he added.

Zarraffa’s will also put the spotlight on Western Australia, and is eyeing potential sites there. “We’ve enjoyed a healthy 12 months of trade in the west with a strong customer following and improved operations. Franchising will be an option in this exciting, coffee-loving market,” Barritt said.
