Convenience chain 7-Eleven has been awarded twice at the Australian Association of Convenience Stores (AACS) gala dinner in Canberra.

The franchise chain was named AACS Major Retailer Head Office of the Year 2013 and franchisees Kirandeep and Samandeep Singh, 7-Eleven Eatons Hill Queensland, were awarded AACS Major Retail Franchised Store of the Year 2013.

7-Eleven’s CEO, Warren Wilmot, said he was proud of Kirandeep and Samandeep for leading such a strong team.

“Kirandeep and Samandeep have inspired their team to provide a premium service to our customers. Their exceptional attention to detail, focus on customer service and ongoing hard work has contributed to this well-deserved recognition,” Wilmot said.

7-Eleven head of marketing, Julie Laycock, accepted the award for Major Retailer Head Office of the Year. The award is based on supplier surveys and recognises the support and leadership 7-Eleven provides to its employees and franchisees.

“We won the Head Office of the Year award last year, and are absolutely thrilled our suppliers have recognised us again. This award is testament to our excellent team, hardworking franchisees and their dedicated employees,” said Wilmot.
