Convenience store chain, 7-Eleven, is targeting those Australians keen to save some money but not willing to sacrifice their caffeine hit, by offering $1 coffees.

As of 1 June, the company is offering regular sized coffees for $1, available all, day every day in all 7-Eleven outlets.

CEO Warren Wilmot said People have been paying over the odds for coffee for years and 7-Eleven feels it’s time to add a real value offer to the market.

It’s no secret that living in Australia is becoming increasingly expensive. The costs of housing, cars and insurance are all headed upwards. So often it’s the cup of coffee on the way to work that is the first to go when people start watching their wallets. But it doesn’t have to be that way. With 7-Eleven’s $1 coffee anyone can enjoy their coffee as often as they like, he said.
